I'm off from the 23rd through the 2nd. Christmas day is going to be in the 60's here so doubt I chance it with those temps. Doing the family thing Saturday since it is my mom's b-day as well, might try to get out Friday.

Would really like to get another one in the freezer, hard to believe I haven't been out since 11/13. Think I'm still in single digits for days sat, although it paid off I'm not sure I do it again next year.

well guys had a great scouting trip at the standing corn tonight. pulled in and 50yds from the truck a big buck jumped up and took off. he didn't seem too spooked. they are in the corn. I seen his track all around the area. I set two cameras. I think Saturday morning i'll hang some stands. can't wait to check the cameras.

2 squirrels so far, there is a lot of fog and I can only see about 40 yards. I dont plan on shooting any father than that but I won't see him coming until he's on top of me.

Man how time flies. It's hard to believe it's been since mid November that you were in the stand. You definitely made good use of the time while hunting though.

So far had a doe come in to 55 yards, then busted me at my walk-in tracks. Never seen me but doubt she'll be back

Ended up seeing about 10 deer, 2 were bucks. Had to wait until dark 30 to get down.
I'll be back out tomorrow afternoon.

I might try to get out Friday morning. Have the company Christmas party tomorrow afternoon, should be an early night after the early beverages.

Winds out of the southeast and last cold morning until the following weekend.

2 deer out of about 2500 tested were found to have CWD not far from my lease. They are going to kill a pile of deer and if this useless DNR gets their way they will destroy the deer population. They are extending our season in the area which means a few more days of hunting but this is one time I would rather not have.

CWD sucks man. There's a core CWD area by where I hunt, and even though licenses are cheaper which is nice, would much rather have so many more deer around of course. Crazy how many deer are found dead

We are living with that same problem in NE Missouri Tom, at my folks place. Hope they get it straightened out.
