Going to be in the low teens tomorrow after some light overnight snow tonight. Heading out in the evening for a frosty one.
Pack of 12, all does and a couple yearlings about 300 yds away in the bean field nearby that never came into range. Definitely grouping up this late in season. Going out again this afternoon, gonna be nice and cold!
A little too cold for me to be hunting, but I'm getting my fill of the cold temps. Had to work this weekend, trying to keep wells flowing and compressors running. Yesterday temps were in the teens and single digits with negative wind chills. Today is much nicer though, truck is reading 13 degrees right now but the winds have laid down compared to yesterday. Good luck to anybody heading out this afternoon!
Headed out to get it done with the smoke pole. Sent from my SM-G920V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Was out at the rifle range for range maintenance day, and then a bowling pin shoot. Temps started at -1, but by the time I left it was balmy 12. I actually managed to knock down all 5 pins in 7 seconds with no penalty with my little Taurus 9 mm. Not bad considering how little experience I have with it. I will be taking my shotgun down to the river to see if I can knock down a goose or two later. The only big game in season here is antlerless elk, but I don't know anyone that would let me hunt, and it is only open on private land.
Just got in the stand. Hunting at our place in a stand we put up for late season. Setting on 1 acre of beans and 1 acre of corn. Good luck everyone.
Just had a tall 6pt come in to a rattling sequence. He circled wide and winded me at 35yds. Stopped dead in his tracks and then took off. He was coming in on a string Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
