Haven't been in here for a while. Been a slow rifle season for me. I've been out a handful of times. Nothing but tons of does, fawns and a few 1.5yr olds. Dad shot a abnormal 7 I hadn't seen all year, and my cousin's boyfriend shot a good 7 we've been watching. I'll be out this evening most likely. For those of you still in the woods, keep at it!
What is the weather like in NC Adam? It's gotten pretty cold here. Temps in the 30's & 40's for the next week. Hoping to get to hunt this weekend. Luckily, rifle season is over with here and it's no wonder I stopped seeing deer after noticing several sets of vehicle tracks all over the big alfalfa field that sits in the middle of the property. I hate freaking poachers! Moved my camera to another part of the property and haven't set foot there in over a week. Hoping things calm down now and the deer come back... Good luck to everybody still working to fill a tag. You guys keep me motivated to stay after it.
Well okie I just got set up in my climber and had to turn my thermacell on lol it's 60 here today and it's been highs in the 60s most of the week, Saturday and Sunday aren't supposed to get out of the 40s so I'm pumped for that!! I'm set up 15 yards from where I found my buck laying last year really nice spot thick as can be but I've got some natural shooting lanes, run and gun set this evening with the climber hoping to catch them heading to the foodplant the land owner nicknamed the secret garden!! Bummer alenhard. Congrats on the doe fp. I hoping to get out this weekend for Muzzleloader. Supposed to get 8-12 in. Of snow over the next couple of days. Hopefully they will b up and moving.
