well today was bitter sweet. I shot a big doe with the rifle today. sad part was after I shot I felt guilty as heck. I think I was more disappointed with shooting her than excited. rifle hunting is so boring! I'm a cheat and that's how I immediately felt. ugh! now the good part is the meat is in the freezer. it's bow time from here on out. time to have fun again. all I can shoot is a buck but that's ok with me. I am so embarrassed I didn't even take a picture.
No reason to feel guilty buddy. Time spent outdoor is a reward. Just because it was not as challenging to take the doe with a rifle does not mean you have to be ashamed. Soooooooooooooooo, it wasn't about the gun and the doe, it was just about the 500th page? I know exactly what you mean Terry. I feel the same way about hunting with a gun.
I'll be out this afternoon. We are supposed to get a little snow tomorrow. No one is sure on how much but it is definitely going to get colder through Thursday then slowly warm back in to the upper 30's low 40's.
