Thanks guys, really needed that after the way this season has been going, been having some of the best times and some of the worst times. Glad I could get some meat in the freezer and get it done with my dad, one of the best days I've had in the woods. Excited to get back down to NC and try to get one more down with the bow, I'm in need of some confidence with the bow after the way archery has been for me this year, I changed up the arrows im using, I refletched my goldtips that are a little heavier hoping that helps

Congrats, being the a-hole I can be. I might have gone over the hill and seen if the guy was still there, tell him I got another one down if he wants it too.

Pretty productive day for you, looks like the thick stuff was the right choice.

I actually ran into him dragging mine out he was still struggling with that big beast 3 hours later! My dad and I definitely know where we will be hunting come next archery, both of these bucks seemed to just be coming through so we will focus on that area while scouting

Got to meet the new neighbor today. He's been hunting on his land which borders ours. I was very polite and introduced myself. I have no reason to have issues with him. His first words were "You, You are the kid who shot the buck I was hunting!" I didn't know quite how to respond. He wasn't too fond of me, but I just kept being polite, not to make any enemies. Kinda awkward. :/

Shane jealousy is a crappy thing I would have never guessed us hunters would have to deal with when I got started. Good luck with him and way to show the adult how to act!

I wouldn't give it a second thought and continue to be the bigger person. I shot the deer the neighbor has been after for a couple seasons now, he was gracious and sent me pics and videos he has of him and his sheds. I don't know what was said behind closed doors or with others but he was respectful and courteous.

It's a shame some feel the need to disparage other hunters, but it happens all the time over a variety of topics. The deer belong to the state, not property owner. Deals made within leases or hunting parties is one thing on "dibs".

I'd have simply replied with, "it's the rut and sometimes we get lucky".

Don't let it get you down, for every one of him there are five of us.

You should have said, "get used to it happening every year d-bag!" Ok just say that in your head and be polite. Neighbors as enemies is never a good thing even if they're complete scumbags.

Nobody owns free range deer. If I decided not to shoot deer that other people may also be hunting I wouldn't be able to shoot any deer. Pretty sure that's the case for most of us lol He will get over it

Headed to the stand. Excited to be in a tree this morning for the first time in about a week. Usually a better evening spot but got a trail cam pic of a big buck cruising through a couple of days ago. Never know...can't kill him if I stay in bed! Good luck t anybody else that's out!
