wait til you have kids someday! you're bummed about thanksgiving? you have no idea the sacrifices in your future. enjoy the hunting time you have now and and all the hunting trips because someday it will slow down dramatically. lol funny thing is I wouldn't trade it for anything. well maybe some info where your hunting spots are. haha seriously though, how do you get that much time off school to do all of those trips? my son would be kicked out if he took that much time off unexcused. just wondering is all.
Thank you! I guess nobody saw the humor. Oh well lol On a serious note I would give anything for the few instances each year that our whole family finds the time to come together. No deer can replace that.
In the stand and wanting to shoot somthin never have killed a deer with a bow... i can hear the animals jus not c them still to dark... this thread has almost died...
Just missed my first shot ever with a bow Beautiful buck that I've been hunting aggressively the last week or so finally got close enough. Gave his belly a hair cut
In the ground blind with my father-in-law. Trying get his first with a crossbow. Hoping it works out, if he has surgery in a few weeks gus season is over.
Its in the uper 40s and misted most the night so i snuck in. Walkd past a bunch of does beded and they did spook kinda strange guess they didn smell or really here me. Im up to put an arrow in bout anythin this morning
Tht not good.. during modern gun here in ky i had a buck come in and got him gruntd back cause he wantd to run away after he seen me.. got the trust ole 25-06 all line up pulled the trigger and deer ran off... as i sat confused i notice a branch 12'' from my stand cut in two by the bullet... didn c it in my scope and rushed the shot a lil and he livd to fight another day.. stuf like that happens to the best of us
Haven't been on here in forever.Anyhow our family went to NW Arkansas for thanksgiving. We lived here for 10 years before moving to KS. Visiting a bunch of friends and doing some rifle hunting.Feels good to be back in my old hunting grounds.Good luck to everyone out today.
Just out of curiosity, will this thread pick up again? Or does it usually slow down this much after the rut? Sent from a piece of paper, tied to a rock.
This morning was a bist with my father-in-law. Duck hunters on the river 200 yards away. Didn't see a thing. Gave up after a couples of hours. Probably heard 50 shots during that time.
You won't get rid of me until our season is over. I don't give up after gun season. I just hit it that much harder. We have a 2 week managed hunt coming up the first 2 weeks of December.
Hate to admit it brethren of the arrow slingers but chuckles here gettin a lil depressed bout his deer hunting and considering givin it up for the day and either go black friday shopin with rhe wifey or else do some work... have any encouraging things to say?
