Sent the game warden an email for the time being, I have to go to lifts for lacrosse at 11:20 so if he doesn't get back to me after lifts I will give him a call. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Found a tracking dog from the link posted that's two hours away, going to ask around from the taxidermist and a couple buddies who live near by, but I'm assuming I will need to have permission, atleast for the one from the link Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thank you, found the tax address and will be heading there after my lifts to see if I can get permission Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I knew I should have written that paper the other day... now I have that on my mind too lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Got an elk with my rifle. Shot him broadside at 30 yards... I left my bow in the truck for the one time we got on bulls. I could have smoked him easy with the bow. I walked a little over 3 miles to get to this bull. Crawled up on him and took my shot. I really wish I had brought my bow!!!!! It's been a bit tougher hunting. Got it done and now I'm bowhunting for the rest of the trip... muley time! Good luck everyone. Sent from a piece of paper, tied to a rock.
Is your goal to retire from hunting by the age of 18? Getting some peoples lifetime of hunting done in a season. Congrats on the bull and good luck on the muley. Guessing we'll see you behind a sasquatch before the New Year?
That's just bad advice, you need to get permission or call the game warden. Someone catches you on their property it can get ugly pretty quick, armed or not.
In Iowa I know that you have every right to go get an animal you shot as long as you go unarmed. Don't need permission to do so. It is best, however to try and get ahold of the owner. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I was looking at NC laws, they don't have any special game retrieval exemptions. Started looking at Georgia laws thought that's where he was hunting. I stated I would have personally kept tracking, but in no way recommend that as advice to anyone. If there was a home on the land I would be knocking and calling before going ahead. DNR is always the recommended first call when in doubt.
Same thing when I got my bear. The one day I took my rifle instead of my bow, I shot one at 20 yards broadside.
I known in GA you have to have permission or call the game waeden, I didn't know about the laws in other states so I guess you can do whatever is legal there .
There is either 27 mute kids behind me jumping in leaf piles or 2 happy squirrels. Not sure which yet...
Just got off the phone with the warden, he said he cannot give me permission to go on the property but he can go on it... still hoping to get permission knocked on one door already just gotta keep trying Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
if the timber company land is posted it sounds like it is leased out for hunting. might have to find the guys or club leasing the property. I am surprised the timber company doesn't have a secretary answering the phone. keep at it.
