I agree, that deer is close. If you are up for it, I would get more light and go back in if you are really worried about coyotes. But leaving him over ight will not hurt the recovery either.
Well just got back in. Pretty disappointing day really. Only saw 3 deer total and this afternoon was dead quiet. Only couple shots around. Guess they got tired of getting shot at all weekend and hunkered down ha. So that's it for gun season number 1, hoping the nice few bucks seen made it through. I'll be out later this week with the bow so maybe get lucky. Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
Very smart move!! Based on that blood with the bubbles, I'd bet he's dead, but waiting is the answer. Can't wait to see pics! ha
I believe it was this buck... checkmate because him and I have been playing a chess match the past two weeks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks guys going to be a sleepless night but I got a few cold ones to help me fall asleep Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Some of you guys get so many opportunities at good bucks! Good luck Adam....dead deer no doubt. And good luck to all those guys still hunting hard for a crack at a buck.
That looks like a dead deer! Good luck on it! You could always just blood trail it in til you find him. Then blood trail back out to find your way back. I hate leaving deer over night, it never ends well for me. I usually lose meat from either internal heat of deer or predators!
Take some darn toilet paper and put it around trees every 20 yds or so as you track from the field. 0 problems finding your way back out.
At this point I've committed to letting him go tonight, going to be out there first thing in the morning, I'll just keep praying he's okay, there's some coyotes out there I've had them on camera but have only seen one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good luck Alan..... And on a separate note...GO REDWINGS....need a win... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'd be dragging that buck out already. I wouldn't chance him with the coyotes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
