I like my LW hand climber but sometimes wish I had the sit and climb top so I could use it when I know im going to sit longer. I have thought about buying just the top. Shame you do live by Bowhunters supply store I just seen their black friday add for the hand climber Lone Wolf Hand Climber II Combo Reg. Price: $389.99 | Sale: $239.00 Its in store only tho and they are in Ga.
X2 I've been using my LW sit and climb for 13 years, and I wouldn't consider using any other stand. It's the most important part of my hunting equipment.
Had a spike harassing a doe chasing her around my stand this evening. She was having none of it. I don't know where in the heck all of the mature bucks are. I haven't seen a buck older than 2.5 since middle of October... Oh well, gonna give it a go again in the morning in a different stand. Supposed to get our first freeze/frost tonight so it's gonna be a cold sit... A little cold gold like everybody else on here it seems, lol and get the kids to bed.
Just checked my cam 6 bucks on it this week...oh i hope one comes by tomorrow, heading out with my buddy, trying to put him on his first deer.
Ha yea I wouldn't of even attempted it if wind wasn't blowing. I'm glad I remembered the creek because at first I was gonna crawl across open feild. Then I was like hey stupid go the other way. I try it couple times a year during gun season, breaks up sitting in the stand for hours bowhunting. Wish woulda came together though tonight, my buddy who owns the ground and his gf don't sit anywhere for long so they start pushing draws all weekend. So after that stuff gets crazy on farm. thanks for the feedback guys. I asked you guys because you all sit long or even full days like myself. I haven't had a climber for a while and from what I can remember the hand climber wasn't real comfortable for the long days. and after a 2mile walk in I remember it was exhausting to use more energy to climb sweating even more. I think the assault hand climber is just too small for all day sits. you guys know the more room you have the easier it is to sit longer. any more feedback will be appreciated. I love my hang ons but not as mobile for quick set ups in late season when deer feeding patterns change rapidly.
I don't have any experience with lone wolf, it do have a summit Goliath climber...most comfortable stand I have, but not the most mobile, it packs up easy enough, but I wouldn't want to carry it more then a mile or so...I mostly use it as a stationary stand any more, will change it between 2 or 3 trees that are fairly close on my lease.... I just found the XOP sit and climb on sale at field and stream for $219. normally $350. any big differences between the lone wolf and the XOP sit and climbs? only thing that I know that is different is the XOP is made in china. just wondering about performance not what country it's made in.
My dad just checked his cameras for the past week and has about 40 pics of a sparring session on it. We are up at deer camp now and don't have a way to load them but will try and post in the trail cam section when we get home.
I may go with xop sit and climb. I didn't notice a huge difference between the lone wolf and xop hang ons. thanks guys.
