You Illinois guys hear we can bow hunt during shotgun now.. long as its on private land. What I read says you can take a gun and a bow if you want and I thought about it, but I think Im going to stick to the hand canon.
40mph winds I'm opting for the lazy boy. That said, Sunday is looking like the day to be out there. Winds laying down, high pressure moving in and temps in the lower 20's for sunrise. I may have to go for a chance at a doe.
I should add.. you cant just hunt with your bow and bow permit.. you must have a firearm permit. If I read it right you have to tag it with the firearm permit as well, even if you take it with a bow.

Thanks Early, I don't give up and I'll hunt well into the late season. Killed my buck last year in mid December. I need my venison and kill or not, I just love this ****!

That's kinda the way it is here Pitman. You can kill it with anything but have to tag it with a firearms permit. They cut back on the # of bucks you can take from 3 to 2. You can only take one with a firearms permit. You can still take 2 with a bow but only 1 before gun season, which thankfully ends Tuesday.
My "feeling" day is tomorrow. I took this whole week off. The last 2 days the wind has been horrible for my stands so I've been doing house chores, oh, and it has been in the upper 70's. Whew, it's warm for November. Good Luck today!!

Well. Had a nice 10 come in. He was broad side at 40 yards and i let it fly when he flinched forward i seen the arrow hit back gut no blood and no pass through. Not looking good. Gonna give him til 5 tonight before i look. Sent from my LGL44VL using Tapatalk
More than likely 44 mag if I go, if not this weekend probably 2nd season. Last year late season was closed in Morgan so can't depend on that. I only need one more deer and i'll be done for he season.
