If he is where I'm thinking I'll drive the truck to him. The landowner has paths for a truck cut all over the place for when he cuts firewood. This deer was one of those paths when I shot him.

Man the deer are moving. After I got back to the car I've seen a dozen deer and 3 130-140+ bucks cross the road.
