I'm getting bored and discouraged. Hunting my prime spots, perfect conditions, and seeing nothing but spikes and forks.
I haven't seen a doe in 4 days. No explanation, but this blows.

I think I'm going to try a hunt from mid-day on. Going to get down soon. Head home then come back about 1. Try something a little different.

Last hunt before in Wisconsin before I go back to Michigan. Very little action this year. I'm hunting Columbia County. I hunted this stand last night also. I'm high up and can see much of a 50+ acre bedding area with 3 picked corn fields around it. Last night I saw 3 does across the block. 6 years ago I'd watch 8-12 deer enter my cousin's field. 10 years ago I'd see 15-20 deer a sit.

This is a CWD unit. In years past it had unlimited earn-a-buck. Last night I heard a coyote barking on the north side of the bedding--2nd night in a row. This morning I heard a group of coyotes barking on the west side of the block

WI people...what's the state's management plan? Do you see numbers going back up?

Good luck out there guys. Sounds like maybe we are dealing with lockdown. Tonight should be good for early movement. Moon is 100% full tonight.

I'm watching 3 otters right now. Pretty cool. Not something you see everyday. They are up on a log drying off and playing around.

Bleating is the sound does make as they come into heat. Either there is a hot doe nearby by or another hunter. I have used a can call two or three bleats every 45-60
Minutes with success in the past. More than that is overkill in my experience.

I just realized that I've been in this tree for nearly 4 hours, and I haven't sat down yet
