I have seen little to no rut activity at this point. I went to a camp cookout last night with 3 other guys. I saw more yesterday afternoon than they did all day. Which was not much. I think we are not there yet?

After seeing nothing but large doe groups together the last week with only small dinks chasing, I have a bad feeling things are going to let loose on my property this week.

Oh wait, that's right. Our season is over now. PA needs to get it right and keep archery open until the weekend before rifle at a minimum. I would take that over Sunday hunting.

Good luck everyone. I'm now living vicariously through you all.

I had what would have been my biggest buck to date at 25 yds in the 23rd with no shot. U have no doubt he was cruising for the first doe's. He was seen again not a 100 yds from there with two doe a few days later. Since then, it's been 1.5yr olds with the occasional 2.5 (my dad has seen a nice 7 and 8 cruise through the bedding area once in the last week).

The past few years, I've had good bucks cruising from late October through our last week. Not this year.

Got settled in at 5. Have had deer around more often than not. Legal shooting in 15. Hopefully it stays busy. In a new stand a well. We will see.

On Monday u saw a monster dogging a doe. I've seen smaller bucks cruising. Yesterday I saw a little buck chasing a doe, but he split away from her. I don't know what to tell you. I do know I want to shoot a bruiser today.

Went down to put the charger on my mower in the barn. Nice eight with a doe standing at the edge of the woods in my yard...on a Sunday...in PA...the day after the season closes...go figure.

Was running late this morning and only got into the stand 29 minutes early. Unfortunately, kicked ever deer in the woods up cause they were right under my stand. We will see how the morning goes now...

In the stand for my first morning sit of the year. Nothing so far. The steady wind is cutting right through me. I'm within 50 yards of the 2 cams a good 8 has been frequenting. He hasn't shown during daylight yet though.

Hunting in 60 degree days sure makes hunting on 30 degree days seem cold

Pretty quiet here this morning. Heard just a couple gun shots.
