Deer were all over the field tonight when I left. All does, or at least antlerless. I just don't get it this year, very odd year. Maybe the rutting moon theory is correct and it will be a late rut. Next two weeks will be interesting and may change my strategy in the coming years. Next year will be the last year I only have 2 weeks vacation, after that I will have 3 and start taking off 2 weeks for the rut, may be two straight or a week apart. Geez, talk about counting your chickens before they hatch
Well I went hunting tonight and the deer did not play along I think thru the years it is pretty rare when not 1 deer shows and tonight was one of those times.
Pics are blurry, what color are your wraps and vanes? If thise were white there is no way I would have called it. Moon is already out and coyotes on the prowl. Hoping for the best in the morning, good luck and congrats. Ps. Not saying that to discourage you, but I have heard coyotws the pastcouple mornings going apesh*t.
