That's it for me. Ended the PA early season with 11 doe and two scrub bucks chasing them tonight. I just don't get it. Haven't had to hunt our rifle season since 2012. Not looking forward to it. Congrats to all who had success tonight.

Just passed a little 8 pointer. He bout didn't get a pass because he was limping, but didn't seem to bother him too bad. Drew back and settled pin in good spot just never touched it off. Woulda been a chip shot, 15 yards and broadside

2nd night in a row had bow drawn on deer and passed, might not get a third time.

My husband is in the same boat. He never let one arrow fly. First time in years.

I do not see or smell guts. It may be better than I thought.

I had set a trail camera up in that general area I've been hunting the past week or so, back in September out of curiousity.
Apparently my scent must've been blowing right in the bedding areas the whole time.....

Several pictures of this guy, a few other small ones. Quite a few does. Make sense why I wasn't seeing anything.....

Well, the good thing is that it was a good learning experience for you. Now you know how you will need to set up to hunt that spot from here on out.

45 minutes before dark and doe and fawn come running through...you guessed it...a little 6 pointer chased them.

I lost blood after about 20 yards. It is too dark for good tracking. Coming back in the morning. Say a prayer the coyotes were letting loose as I was looking. Didn't get within 50 yards of where I last saw him.

The big boy came out but wasn't interested in my calls. He was chasing a doe hard again

I saw 0. My buddy finally heard some rutting behavior. He hadnt seen any in his first three seasons. Heard some grunts and saw what he thought was a buck. I'm real happy for him and he was pumped. Back at it tomorrow.

Sorry folks my phone isn't letting me upload an attachment? Anyway i had a bad range and spined him, followed up to the lungs, got myself a buck. Thanks for all the support and congratulations. I'm buying a rangefinder this week. And I'll keep trying to get the picture up
