I would deem that cruising, only focused on getting to the next spot. Oblivious to all around him

Don't give up. I've been bow hunting for over 20 years. I learn something new every year that makes me a better hunter. I went years before I killed, what I believe is a respectable buck. This is not an "easy" sport. When you hunt large areas with a weapon that, on average, covers 30 yds in any direction it takes an incredible amount of patience and self drive.
Keep at it. You'll be just fine.

My hopes are fairly low...but I definitely can't shoot a smaller buck now, not until after shotgun season when I have 2 tags....

I had that buck yesterday at my in-laws. Came to the food plot, ate a few bites of oats, then just went on his merry way. There was even a doe in the plot also. Paid her no attention.

These squirrels sound like elephants in these dry leaves.

Well gentlemen, that's a wrap for me. I have to go pick up my son at work at 3:30. I'm in my car flipped off the woods as I drove away!

Can't wait to start game planning in my head now for next year, good luck to everyone the rest of today! Thanks for keeping my head in the game past two days LOL!

I think a big problem with this year is the browse. So much greenery everywhere its as bad as having standing corn during the rut.

And if you buy into Charles Alsheimers moon theory, Monday is his "rutting moon" and the 2 weeks following us the peak rut.

I've always wondered about this. I'm playing his theory this year. Last week was slow around here and I'm on call Thanksgiving week so I took this coming week off.
    We shall see.
