Up to 3 bucks, 4 does. Had a shooter 150 yards away in some thick woods but couldn't get him to come in

Heading home, gonna fix my 30 yard pin, do a few chores, smack myself and get back out this evening. The woods don't owe me anything, gotta go get it on my own.

I didn't bring any food with me today. I don't know how I'm going to do it.

Rattled in a little half rack buck to 10 yds. Pretty cool, just need his dad to follow the same script...

And that right there my friend, is why you killed that MONSTER! That was total dedication, and you were rewarded for it. I just knew you hadn't seen the last of him.

Rattled in a small 6 pt he worked a tree for a minute and then turned his tail up and acted nervous before moving on. Not 2 minutes later a coyote came walking down the same path with something in his mouth. I had a small window and decided to take the shot. I missed and he dropped what he had and took off. Went and recovered my arrow and he was carrying a set of lungs. Must have found a gut pile somewhere

Shaking like a leaf. Just had 2 mature does come in, with of all things a button buck. WTF

Came right to my stand, literally, biggest doe and bb were at the base of my ladder. She was smelling the leaves where I had pissed earlier, he was sniffing my steps and second doe was to my back right about 5yds and cautious.

I could have shot the big doe but would have been straight down without aiming. Not the shot I would take. I thought they would head to the bedding to my front left so was waiting to raise crossbow.

Other doe got nervous and trotted the way they came about 4 yds. Other two started following and big doe stopped at 6yds. She was facing straight away and I opted not to take a single lung or spine her.

Why were two mature does traveling with a button? Alreadt bred maybe?
