    Happens to me several times a season.
    Happened to me the past three years when I was in Illinois. Paid all that money to go, spent all the hours looking at topo maps, basing my stand placement on that and sign I find. Just to still double guess myself the entire time, to the point where I could barely enjoy myself.

    Slept in this morning, made the 2 hour drive to another spot.
    Walked the creek to a perfect spot with the climber. Think I'll leave it here tonight and come back in the AM.

    One of the guys shot the big 8 this morning. He was using his bow because you don't get a long shot where he is. Pretty thick in there though. Arrow deflected off of a twig and he hit high and back on a quartering too shot :( he is going to look at blood soon to see when we think it is time to blood trail him.
