Opening day. In stand by 5. Sitting with my son. Bows in hand...huge anticipation.

At 6:55 I see two shapes moving in the tall grass about 100 yds out.

Crap........two coyotes decide to walk within 50 yards of our stand.....one of them took a crap as he smiled at us!

I'm pretty sure that this morning's hunt is over.

Do coyotes in the immediate area mean it's over or should I keep sitting?

Keep sitting, deer share the woods with coyotes every day, that same yote has probably peed and pooped in that same spot 50 times.....

First sit here in Illinois! It rained most of the night, but beautiful morning right now. Had a hell of a time getting in here, sweating like a hog, but I'm ready.
    Good luck all!

If for the first sit of the year in my ground along a heavily used trail between food and bed. Hoping for a fat doe. Or skinny doe, I am an equal opportunity doe shooter.

First deer of the year, way out there ha. Shoulda sat in the bulldozer that's down by the creek. Would be about a 30 yard shot. From where I am would need a rifle ha
