Whats wierd is i see bucks with no does and i see does without bucks. Not sure what to make of it? If the rut is this late our orange army will slaughter the herd.

A bunch of turkey just came by and got my blood moving. I'm like Apollo Creed in Rocky 4....don't throw in the towel until I'm dead. I'm gonna kill one !

I think I've seen like 6 bucks in coming on 11 days of hunting. Rough.

I'm right there with you. There just doesn't seem to be any prerut or rutting activity. Baffled!

Set up in a bad wind, even though it's blowing in every direction, and I got busted by a doe.

    Great start to the afternoon.

On a side note; my brother-in-law let me borrow his electric bike this afternoon to get to my stand. What a gas that was. It's about a mile walk but I was here in no time on that bike. And I'm sure it left a lot less scent. Might have to check in to one of these.

    Blessings..........Pastorjim

HOLT FOR PRESIDENT!!!!! He IS the man!

Now that I've gathered myself, I thought I'd mention I'll be hunting dark to dark TOMORROW before the big winds come. Sat most of yesterday in the rain and saw nothing, so it can only get better!

Thank you all for all your comments, It means a lot! I love sharing all this with you all and had a blast this season. I consider you all family!

Now to get back to some hunting related stuff. I rough scored the buck and came up with 204 7/8 and he weight was 200 even field dressed. He is a way bigger than I thought. I still cant believe I shot a 200" buck. This something I will never forget and want to wish all of you good luck that are out hunting. It can happen any time, so stay strong!

Good stuff! It couldn't have happened to a more serious, dedicated deer hunter. I just love seeing someone get great results from a great effort! Now all you have to do is figure out what type of mount you want to get. This is all part of the FUN!
