    Dang, I know that had to hurt. Hope he heals up soon. Those deer are gonna be moving hard this weekend. Hope he nails a big one.

    On stand again sitting same spot as yesterday. The activity started picking up yesterday, so hoping today will be good. Still a lot of deer out in the fields feeding on the drive in, so hope they take there time coming back to bedding.

    Great morning. All set in an ambush spot I found 8 months ago. Any buck wanting to stay alive using the wind needs to come through here as he enters the bedding area flat to my east.

    At least that is the plan.....hahaha

    Good luck on this crisp morning! It was nice sneaking in with wet leaves, I think I made it in without bumping any thing, but it's hard to tell because I can't hear them walking in this either. Haha

    I didn't bump a single deer either Holt. I took 15 minutes to climb a darn wet and muddy hillside to get up on this ridge. I didn't want to walk anywhere I felt deer would be so I picked a steep as crud wet ditch to climb.

    I bumped two does at the opposite end of this clearcut. Ive only hunted this cut once before any rutting started. Man this wind is cold. Good luck everyone!

    Getting ready to walk in again this morning. I have yet to see any rutting activity. I really don't understand what's going on. Oh well, I'm still gonna give it that old college try. Hunt here two more days then off to Ohio for a 4 day hunt. Good luck to everyone out today. Be safe!
