I hunt the stand with the highest amount of doe traffic. I'll rotate when things slow way down or I want to change things up. The morning I killed my buck was the first time ever hunting that stand for sunrise. Sometimes you just have to go with your gut and do it. I posted I thought something special was going to happen the day before if I hunted that stand. I have sat a stand 6 days straight and seen deer every time.
I believe, one should stay put. you never know when the deer will come through. Now if you have to move because of wind or neighbor issues, then that's when I'll move.
Lost blood after 200 yards. Found the arrow 15 yards into the track, broke off after about 3", 6" of blood on it. I think I may have been a bit far forward. Grid searching now. Found a dead buck on the neighbors but not mine. Still searhing.
Wrapping up my morning hunt. It might be my last hunt until thanksgiving. Gotta get back to work I might be able to sneak a few days in here or there but we will see. Also like to get on some ducks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Although the place I'm hunting seems vast, something told me to hunt it the past few days. True big woods set up. Come on bucks!
Love the big woods, where anything is possible. Buck of a lifetime could show up any minute. But it's mentally challenging....makes for very long days...makes you constantly double guess everything. Hope a big boy presents you a shot!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Constant action near these bedding areas. Doe and a couple fawns milling around. Six point nose to ground. Definitely moving this stand at some point. So close to the action but out of range. I seldom set up this close I just need to get closer to the bed room door. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
