I got down and went into town to vote.. I pulled trail cam cards on my way out and had a nice buck where I should have been hunting sunday morning!
Same thing when I changed stands, should have been in the stand I was in this morning yesterday...10 point came under at 7:45 looking for the hot doe that came through at 7:35....sometimes I think it's better not knowing because I wind up beating myself up lol

All set and ready took my time and checked the cam. My cam must be acting up I took a pine branch and cleared all tracks out of the mud when I set it up last Monday and there were many many sets of tracks but only one set of pics from yesterday a small buck at 12pm. Oh well I know there's big deer in here.
Hung a stand and checked a few cams. Buck movement has been non existent the last two days. The plan is to stay in tonight and get prepared to sit in the rain tomorrow.

Wind is starting its shift to the NW so I switched stands as well. Sun is coming out, hoping the deer will move bedding both for the windshift and to soak in some sun. Time will tell
Yeah.. I beat myself up over it. But it told me I need to hunt that little triangle of woods and the creek more. Uggh pic of a pic is horrible but you get the idea.. 140-150 inch buck lol

Saw a nice buck walking into stand... tried to call him in but he wasn't interested. Got to stand and there is fresh doe droppings right next to a mock scrape I made. Have some tinks estrous out now. feeling very blessed to be out here.
Seen two lone does this morning. Realized i was sitting in wrong spot. Moved stsnd to where the deer have been traveling only to find an oak tree still bombing down fresh acorns. Then i moved another stand down in this grassy river bottom. The grass is similar to crp. There are several oxbows close as well. Decided to stay in the bottom. We will see. Congrats twitch! Love the brows!

The rain is finally starting to stop here. Looking at the radar I either have about a 2 hour window before more or it might miss to the north. During the rain had two does come in with no bucks and thats it.

Back on stand...traded the big woods for a quick suburban hunt. Don't like it near as much but I have to balance family life with this thing called hunting. Kill
