Definitely wait till around 2pm twitch. And even then proceed slowly and watch that you're not bumping him. Good luck to you bud, hope you find him.

    Blessings..........Pastorjim

Tony I hope you poked through and got vitals, but it doesn't sound too promising to me. I've had my fair share of shoulder hits on bucks and never recovered any of them. I hope this won't be the case for you.

Jake, my nephew hit a big doe like that... we waited 4 hours to track and it was just muscle blood until it stopped... never found here either

My hopes is I get another crack at him later if I can't find him at lunch time

I've had luck once with a hit like that Tony. There was snow on the ground to help with tracking.

Took the wife out slug hunting and she got her first deer; 5 point! Made a hell of a shot at 40 yards! Ran about 20 yards. Couldn't be more proud. My dad shot his buck yesterday so now it's my turn.

Will do. Going to go to mass - was planning on going anyway and now I've got some extra motivation. Probably going to head out around 1 or 2. Thanks all for the advice

I know there are RAGE fans and haters on here. I hit a large doe in the shoulder one winter Tony. Sounds like the same arrow you found. The broadhead caused enough damage that she just bled to death. Hope this is what happens for you.

I shot her in the evening. Went back next morning. She never laid down until she ran out of blood.
