    Hunting a new location I hung this afternoon. Saw the first chasing buck if the year this morning. Whole thing lasted 3 seconds. Didn't see anything else.

    That's tough. You did have a crazy day! I'm hunting a spot that we have never hunted. No cameras ever been hunt. It borders my buddies amazing 40 so anything could happen. And I found a nice 4 point shed when picking out this tree! A sign? Maybe!

    Bucks bucks and more bucks... ran by the tree I thought about getting in.. I grunted and snort wheezed and called another that was over by me.. had him at 10 behind a tree. Just needed 2 steps and he caught my trail coming in.. ugggh

    Called it quits early tonight. Forget the headphones for my five year olds portable DVD player. He couldn't stay quiet and wanted to come home and watch the Razorbacks. Decided that was better than making him miserable and not enjoy the experience. It is a little early for good rut action in Arkansas. On the plus side, I taught him to use a grunt call and a can call tonight. He is decent at but too enthusiastic and wants to do it nonstop.
