Idk how blurry the pic is but it makes the buck look smaller then what it was. In person all of 120-130" I spotted it last night checking out some other public land. Never underestimate public land.
Hmmm...great lookin buck. I'm on public land,, haven't seen a deer in the last seven hunts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
40 minutes until gun opener here in MN. Changed my mind a dozen times this week where to sit. Decided late last night to go with first instinct. So here I am sitting on a picked corn field hoping I was right
Who will be the first to strike? Had some deer walk by I'm the dark, but nothing since sun up. Had something make a weird whoop noise really load in the dark down in a marsh, had all the dogs in the area going nuts!
The guy 3/4 mile down the road from me...bang...it's muzzleloader season here. Probably not what you meant, eh?
Been here since 18 min after the hour,. Nothing yet. Good luck all. 39 degrees slight breeze from the West south west. Good cold morning, let's go !!!!!!!!
Congratulations bud, most people don't get so lucky to kill a monster buck on their first hunt. What you've done tonight is what most had done before you. You've gotten bit and you will now and forever have the fever. You will continue to grow in you pursuit of greatness. I believe everyone is better off not killing a monster their first time, because it's hard to learn from that and one will not want to kill other deer in comparison. Your buck is perfect so be very proud of it. If you don't want to get it mounted cut off the head and bury it up to the start of the antlers then put a bucket over the antlers. Come next spring you will have one of these to cherish forever. Again congratulations and best of luck to you in the future
I brought my buddy today. I helped him get into bowhunting 2 years ago. He has arrowed one spike and on doe over 2 years. I really hope I put him in a good spot this morning.
I did the exact same thing. Sitting on the edge of a picked corn field too. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
