Not trying to troll or anything, but didn't you say you heart shot her? If she was only 12 yards, was the angle that steep that the arrow angled down to the heart? Just trying to picture the shot based on the hole I see in your picture.

Yup, I said it before I got down out of the stand to get her because of the way she died. She just walked 20 yards and fell over, never ran. Sure sign of a heart shot. But it was confirmed when I gutted her, right thru the top of the heart were I was aiming! The angle would be impossible to tell from the pic, but I was only 15 feet off the ground and shot thru the front shoulder.

Thanks. It's warm here but I got the chance to go out. This weekend is duck opener here so trying to get at them before they get all spooky. Too many ponds near where I bow hunt.

Hunted the corner of a cornfield. Saw 3 1.5 yr old bucks with one walking right under me but no shooters tonight.

Snuck out this morning inbetween classes and moved my climber into a corner of a field that I didnt even know was part of the property we hunt, kicked one out and there were a ton of fresh tracks in the edge of the corn set the climber up about 10 yards inside the woods, got in and out I will be hunting there thursday morning when the rain lets up!!!!

Sounds like a great spot - on a side note - what are your thoughts on the Decimators? Worth the hype for a $20 set of arrows?

I have a set of the decimators, I like them enough but a lot of people think they are "tough" but all of mine except one have have become out of tune over the course of a year.

I'm back on stand tonight, move back in the woods farther away from the field. Set up on a nice creek crossing .

Leaving in the morning to go out close to the Colorado line for a four day hunt. Will be in camp with 6 other guys so we should get some deer.I won't have service so can't give any updates until Sunday.

Super stoked that we got invited along because there are some monsters in the area !
