4 years ago today on the 4th I killed my first mounter buck... Granted it was with the rifle, maybe, just maybe, the 4th is my lucky day and my number 1 will step out again tonight.
Seen 4 buck 1 doe. Hate it when u go to accomplish something and u cant.. happy to c buck chasin tho finally cooled down here
same here. my buddy is hunting 300 yds from me with a decoy. said this lil guy has been having a standoff with it for over an hour. like he wants to fight but doesnt know how yet. haha
Unreal, 27 sightings now. Just had die and 2 fawns at 20 for about 5 minutes. Then the NNE wind gusted W and they got my scent. Ran into the woods, blew twice and walked up the ridge. Hopefully a buck heard it and mosies over. 10 shot opportunities, going to have to scratch that itch soon. Just feel it is too early with the movement I'm seeing. Wish I could post pics, probably sound like my pants are in fire
today my back is on fire. knew i shoulda loaded up on ibuprofen. tomorrow i will and it will be all day. today i gotta get this doe outta here anyway. might come back this eve. still enjoying the morning. God is Great.

Yes. I like hunting just as much after gun season. Sometimes it is easier to pattern the deer coming to the food.
