Small buck walked by out at 80 yds. Just feeding along. Not cruising.

Saw a shooter 8 chasing a doe. They went into the woods and I heard them coming out to my left and of course right as I stand up he comes running out and sees me. Then he came back to 50 yards but the doe changed course so he left. At least they're moving!

What I don't understand is that even though the things don't usually take off here until around the 8th, you usually see the smaller bucks cruising around by now. I haven't seen any of that this year. A very strange year so far.

To go for a mid day sit or to wait and go early evening? It's pretty windy here until this evening what do you guys think? We got rain last night into this morning supposed to stop soon I have class until 11 think the big boy will freshen them up right after or wait until the evening? I need some input here

If you can be in the stand this time of year you should do it. Easy. Anything can happen anytime

Hunting right next to a bedding area this morning on the edge of a grown up field. Thick layer of fog. Had a deer come by before daylight and had a little 6 cruise by as I'm typing this. Not as much movement as I'd hoped but it's still early. Good luck everyone

I've seen only 1 buck moving all week. A spike. I've had all morning sits. Will get a few evening sits the next 5 days.
