Tons of acorns in nw pa. I like it better with very little feed. Less feed makes the deer move more. Plus the deer are competing with each other for who eats what little they have. It also confines the buck to the food source while looking for does. Here things really slowed because the bucks found does and the does dont have to travel for food. Im having a hard time finding the does because they are all spread out and not all feeding at the same spot. I hope this gives you an idea how you can use no acorns to your advantage.
So jealous! Here's my view today. 30' up in bucket truck overlooking beautiful Chicago. Maybe I'll catch a crackhead heading back to his bedding area
We got skunked this morning. We are gonna work my doe up and skip the evening hunt. Its supposed to hit 85 here today, so we will get a few things done around the house. Congrats to all those that have killed.
20 degrees with no wind this morning......just needed deer. On my way to Kansas tomorrow. Hopefully better luck there. Should be in a stand by Thursday night. Gonna be a long ride.
Got some damn good mri coming out. Quarter mile off road and no entrances nearby. Old one half acre overgrown homestead thicket. Peppered with big rubs all around it. I spent minimal time around it and found a great corner edge ambush spot. Don't know whether to hit it tomorrow or let it cool off one day. The sign is hot
Hit it while it's hot!!! Action Might be gone somewhere else if you wait! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
