I am at work today...HS math teacher. Thanks for sharing your hunting experiences. I am headed to WI for a 3 day hunt this weekend. Something to ponder for you: I live in SW Michigan. I have a huge oak tree in my yard. Normally I pick up 10+ bushels of acorns. This year I have not picked up ANY acorns. My brother lives 30 minutes south of me in the woods...NO acorns. I hunted at my friends 2 hours NW of me....NO acorns. I've never seen so few acorns. This has to affect deer, and other wildlife. What are the ramifications of this?
Worth noting - that just north of you (longitude) that is in Maine we've never seen a more gang-buster crop of acorns. For most of September and a lot of October it was raining acorns in the woods. It was very easy to sneak in with that much racket. D33pwoods of Maine
