Currently sitting on my deck, talking myself in and out of going hunting tonight.

Temps don't bother me but the wind switching directions every gust does.

Not wasting the gas to go sit in 80* temps...I'll wait and got all day tomorrow when it is 20-25* cooler...

Yeah, the weather isn't helping my motivation but since I have some expensive camera equipment sitting in a tree its shower time. Probably be covered in sweat by the time i get in my tree.

I have sat in my stand when the wind direction was what they said it would/should be, and then watch it switch from all different directions, then go back to where it was coming out of originally. I won't move when this goes on, because I'd spend all my time moving and not hunting.

I have a love/hate relationship with cameras. I'm walking out this morning and I checked one of my cams that is by a set that I haven't hunted this year. On it was a big 10 that I don't think I've saw before, and in the daylight. Worst of it was that I was hunting that evening in a different set and had considered hunting this set before changing my mind. Sometimes you're just better off not knowing.

    Blessings..........Pastorjim

Wind is forcast to change. It just changed four hours too early. I am in a saddle slash bottle neck on top of a ridge full of acorns with seven old log roads intersecting in front of me.

Actually im starting to pull my cams out. I already have inventory of resident bucks. I know they are here somewhere.

I had this happen this week, sometimes you are better not knowing because you wind up beating yourself up.

Been there done that... last year thought about hunting over a scrape and decided to go to a different area.. pulled the card over the scrape on my way out and sure enough had a nice buck over it that same morning!

Well it's windy and hot but I decided to give it a shot tonight. At least the gusting wind is keeping it somewhat cool.
