I'm sitting tomorrow out, today was a good sit and don't want to ruin the spirit with near 80 degree temps coming tomorrow. Plan on doing an all day sit Sunday with a high of 70 and I'll see how that goes before committing to Halloween day. Never thought I'd be opting out on Halloween. Halloween morning might be good though, not supposed to hit 70 until noon or later.
Im in the same boat...I work tomorrow, and then have 3 days off. Trying to decided if it is worth and afternoon hunt tomorrow, then most likely an all day sit sunday and monday and a morning sit tuesday.... my hunting time is pretty limited this year. A day here and there at a time. No 9-10 day vacation this year....
Hopefully you have some time after midweek, things will be cooling down again and the bucks should be aggressive and seeking. I'm hoping anyway, not sure if it was just finally getting out there or a psychic premonition, but I have good vibes heading into my vacation
I get sun-tue off, then work wed-sat, sun off, work mon-wed, then taking the wife down to st.louis for the blackhawks-blues game. get home sometime thursday and have friday off. then work the next 5 i think....so not a lot of days to hunt...
Wesley, this Thurs and Fri should be good. Then if you work for 5 days, then you should hit some great hunting time around Nov 10th. You will get it done I know it.
Hopefully he's just racing the heat to get him on ice/fridge/freezer. These scenarios are always gut wrenching. I busted his balls a bit jokingly, always feel like I jinx the situation sometimes Unless I see a definite kill shot, drop in sight or laid eyes on the downed animal I never jinx myself prematurely. Hoping the heat is all it is and he's blood covered smiling ear to ear. That's a heck of a buck
I hear ya.. I hope he is busy getting that sucker out! Im the same way, I dont know if I will say anything if I shoot a nice one or not. May wait till Im hands on or I may not! I dont know! lol
