    It wouldn't bother me if ALL snakes would just go ahead and hibernate! I love to fish and hunt, but have never cared for snakes. What kind is that?

    Looks like a corn snake. Thought it was a copperhead for a second, I've seen a few down there

    How's everyone feeling about the rut...when I was out Sunday the little guys were chasing hard...I took Friday Nov 4th off and the whole following week...wondering if I should've taken this coming week off instead...??

    That be it. I had one swim across a creek at Kinkaid and pop up at my feet :(
    Also damn near stepped on one hunting a couple years back. Good times!

    My 4 yr old son had a really really close call with a 3 1/2 ft rattler in our yard this summer.

    Yes they are! He was around a foot or a foot and a half from it before it started rattling... I acted fast and picked him straight up in the air. It was a close call for sure. Him being that small it probably would not have been good if it bit him.
