Out for the first time in a new stand location with a brand new stand tonight. Overlooking a bedding area and 75 yards from my clover foodplot. The new stand is a muddy outfitter hangon and so far is really comfortable and stable. Here's the views. Foodplot in the upper right of the second photo

Way up north about 20 minutes from Canada. Moose is a lottery here. My friend's dad put in 25 years before he got a tag. I'm going on 5 years. Sometimes you get lucky though. Much better chance of hitting one with your car. I'd take better deer anyday

Omg 25 years I think that's messed up like if ur a resident for years and years they should rotate the tag system for u guys...

25 years is uncommon but I bet it'll take me 10 to get one. The meat is good and lots of it, but its kinda like shooting a cow as far as fun goes. They aren't very smart

Last time I was in maine I was in bangor at the casino and raceway for work... and I remember seeing bumper stickers that said "dont stop for moose, it will fill ur freezer" now I know why just hit one with the cars so u dont have to deal with lottery lol

Yeah pretty much. When I used to drive more, I'd almost hit one every other month, but you have a lot of close calls before you do. I hit the back hooves of one about 5 years ago. Cracked the bumper so I got lucky. I live about 3 hours north of bangor

Yeah it took me about 7 hours get to bangor... that drive sucked plus it was in the middle of winter and it snowed the whole time and was like -28 out the whole time... my nose froze instantly as I walked outside...
