    On the drive to my brothers seen a huge bodied deer in the ditch on the side of the road. Slowed down to rubber neck it, first headless roadkill of the year.

    It is so close to busting wide open, 4 more day and I start my rutcation!

    Have a perfect wind for the stand I named "buck run" its 100 yrds or so from a bedding area and sits right on a line of scrapes.. now if I can just get the grandparents to play along...... (picks up phone)

    We are done. We looked hundreds of yards in every direction. Completely at a loss. I'm sick. Normally my deer die in sight or paint the ground with blood.

    Hunt RI!!!! Archery season is September 15th-January 31st. Sunday hunting allowed. 2 bucks 3 does allowed. Best hunting and hunting regs in New England!
