I just got done with a stare down with a psycho tree rat. Apparently my set is in HIS tree. Thought I was going to have to arrow him to get him to shut up. Ha ha.

I had to do that one year hunting out of a blind, he set on a branch right outside the window and barked non-stop for about 30 mins, couldn't take it anymore so I pinned him to a tree....

Got about an hour and a half of legal time left, but with trees holding most of their leaves I probably only have an hour of shooting light left.

    I second the tree rats!
Wind is laying. It is a little warm but we'll see.

I'm in an old ladder stand I put up about 12 years ago. Haven't hunted it in years but damn, it looks good!

Another deerless sit. I'll try again tomorrow afternoon. May try another bow area, I'm seeing tons of sign and minimal deer in this current area

Bucks are still mostly nocturnal here. Hard to catch them on their feet during daylight hours. Rain and temp drops, plus some colder winds are going to break the ice on buck movement come next Thurs into Fri here in Northern VA.

Button buck, fawn, and one doe this evening. Today was oddly slow. Things just aren't ready here yet.

Figured out my over sleeping issue. Use phone for alarm, when first alarm goes off I set phone back down screen up. Speaker in the back and it muffles the sound quite a bit.

    Hassle free.morning tomorrow #knocksonwood

Had a 130 incher walk away from me at 30 yards didn't offer a shot which I prob would have taken. I tried grunting and rattling to bring him back as he got 65 yards out but he just looked over his shoulder and slowly walked away uninterested. Was an hour before sundown so he was up early...

Never trust the written forecast. Winds were supposed to be NE overnight pulling around to East throughout the day.

Check the weather and they have been W all night and now bot set to turn NE until about the time I would need to climb down.

Really don't feel like blowing a spot just to say I went.
