Busted one on the way in this morning. But no sightings as of yet. What a beautiful morning to be in a stand. Photos taken but I forgot how to load them on Tapatalk. uploadfromtaptalk1445606178865.jpg

I'm hunting a little different this year. I think that is reducing my sightings and I'm ok with that. I think I've seen deer 3 out of my 7 hunts this year.

Wherever I look, whatever I see, looks like a whitetail's ear to me.....

Leaves tumbling down, corn leaves flopping, birds darting throught the brush. One deer, that's all I want to see.

I have only SEEN 3 deer (while hunting) in 7 hunts. Misery loves company. lol I'm hoping things really pick up, because I took all of next week off to kill a buck!

My Amish buddy's son (16 years old) shot and killed his 2nd deer of the year after she went by me. He saw 4. Got the last one, a spiker.

Nothing this morning and nothing on the cameras, what do you guys think should I go out this evening? It's supposed to be 80 getting down to 72 at sunset not ideal conditions and I have yet to see a deer in the evening on this farm

Rain here today, thinking tomorrow may be my first all day sit of the year, main reason being the people I lease from are having a Bon fire tomorrow night, and they live a half mile down the road from my lease. Figured might as well kill 2 birds with one stone, hunt all day then enjoy the fire and some beer after...

You're going to be so focused on that cold beer towards the end of the hunt, you know you're going to shoot aomething just to prolong it a little further.

    Good luck!

I'll be on orivate land for the first time this season tomorrow morning. If action is good it could turn to an all day sit but it will likely be a morning hunt and hang a stand for vacation. Supposed to rain a bit later this afternoon/evening.

Might try a Sunday morning hunt as well.
