What piece of the property are you getting pics of him? What was yesterdays wind? Which way did you exit the stand?

Definitely wasn't saying not search those areas. Thing I like about that area is he(the buck) doesn't have a whole lot of options to go to. Appears to be a fairly easy are to search, but I'm a couple thousand miles away looking down

Thanks guys. There is a creek in the woods to the west of where he was. We will search that and also bedding areas. He was headed more to the east but I couldnt find where he ever crossed the road unless he stopped bleeding out all together. The guys will be here in about an hr to start looking. Thanks for all the help

Been in the stand about a half hour. Jumped a doe on the way in. Couldn't be helped.

    Here's the view.

yeah i spent all morning texting everyone, including my team, but i forgot to hit this thread.

I did find the doe. Had a couple other guys in the club come over and help me track her. she went about 150 yds or so. She was quartered away. Barely nicked the stomach, went through the liver and the lung. So all in all, not a bad day!!

Ended up going out tonight. Between me and two buddies we saw three bucks, couldn't tell what the one I saw was and Mike saw one little buck chasing does and one big boy cruising the ridge top.

Based on the pictures and arrow penetration, I'd keep after this deer. Look/listen for crows/coyotes and eagles.

Also If possible, check the part I highlighted on the map. If it is a low area with water (looks like it on the map), then it might be a good spot for a buck to hunker down.

    GOOD LUCK

I've never seen a deer flicker it's tail back and forth after being shot, that wasn't on the ground within 5 minutes.
