Just got settled in the blind. I'm pretty pumped. Camera shows at least 2 of my hit list deer yesterday in shooting light. Hoping they will be back today. Good luck guys!
Had a nice doe at 7 yards ..walking my trail right to me...I chipmunk busted out of its hole and startled her.,she ran back 20 yards and is all cautious now...I can still see her as she goes back and forth 60 yards out....20 minutes with her so far
Hopefully she is having a good time I got a feeling she is gonna die Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Got in my stand a little after 1, so far no luck just a bunch of squirrels. Hopefully something comes walking by here soon.
Been sitting in a stand I hung last year and haven't sat in until now. If it happens it's goin to be quick because only view I have is straight ahead of me. Also have one spot in the creek behind me that I could get a shot off. So far the afternoon as started about how this morning ended. Saw squirrels, raccoons and a coyote this morning and now a opossum.
Be ready, when I shot my buck last year was a juvenile raccoon out playing in the middle of the afternoon. Other than that, is the October lull real afterall? I would have put money on multiple deer being down today. When I left site M this morning everyone was leaving and we left early. Either hunters were already at their vehicles or were already gone. This was at 9:30. I think my next hunt will be on orivate, either Halloween or the beginning of my vacation. Spending too much money on gas hitting public land.
Yea idk Cls, it's been a slow year for me, haven't been seeing alot while hunting but I do at other time on farm I hunt. Been alot of feild work goin on last week or two though so that may have something to do with it. I woulda though the weather this weekend would have got them goin though.
The wind finally cooperated and I'm back in my primary stand in Kentucky. This morning's sit was entertaining. 5 minutes before legal shooting time three young bucks walked right under me. There was a small 8, a fork horn and a big spike. They walked out into the corn field for a few minutes and then came back into the woods and milled around right under me for a half hour. The spike and the four point sparred and then the spike and the 8 point sparred. It was pretty entertaining. I saw three does and another spike later on.
I'm on the ground with my brother. His first time out chasing deer with archery equipment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
