    Back out after lunch with my son for the youth hunt. Very eventful morning but presented no shots. Just seen a fisher for the first time.

    Just got all set up, bout 20 mins ago. Fairly decent day out with slight breeze. Could be little cooler. Ran off couple small ones waking in but if they're the ones I think they'll be back. Not looking to take one but other might follow

    I didn't see squat this morning while on stand, some acrobatic squirrels and that's about it. On the walk to the truck had a coyote run out into thw field, stopped and staretd heading straight at us. Put a bolt in and waited for him. Range finder said 128yds, pulled the bolt out with a rage tip and switched to field point. He kept coming and got to about 80yds and stopped. Started to cut west after seeing us, took an 85yd pop shot at it and failed miserably.

    To make matters worse, the bolt I put in was tipped with a rage as well, so bolt, illuminated nock and rage broadhead equates to first $30 bolt loss.

    Have a family get togeher tonight won't get home until about 11, may set the alarm to see if I can wake up at 4 tomorrow.

    So hunting behind my house tonight for the first time thus season.....and guess what?

    THIS farmers grandson decides to rides his dirt bike in the field...and then he comes up a deer trail and sees me when he is 10 yards away....30 more minutes before sunset.. :sad:
