    I am! Just got in my box blind. Didn't feel like roughing it today. Lazy from all the Christmas food and snacks. Just over 2 hours to go!

    Haha oh yes there's a heater going! Not too cold out but figured I'd fire it up for the heck of it. No deer spotted tonight. Areas been hunted heavily think they've all moved over to the neighbors.

    Been quite since she walked by this am...going to go do some knocking on some doors after I get down today and see if anyone hunts the land south of me which is where I think they're bedding as...I think they just cruise through my lease right after dark and right before first light

    Shot a doe right before sundown. Quartering away at 18 yds. Looked like three back of one lung and through the other. Only thing that threw me for a loop is she took off like hell then stopped at 50 yds for 2 minutes. Then she just walked off with another doe while twitching her tail. Wasn't supposed to rain at all but after I shot her it started misting. Got dark as heck as there is no moon and heavy clouds.

    Will pick up the track job in the morning with my son as I can't be out on this base past 7pm and don't want to push her. Couldn't even find my arrow bc it was pitch dark. Hoping she is dead or I completely missed.
