    got all set up today. when checking out a few things I found a 6pt yearling buck someone shot during gun season. we quickly dragged it out of my area so it doesn't stink the place out. I have a lot of confidence in this spot. going to sit there all day on Saturday. then I went to put a camera out at another spot and wish I had my phone with me to take a picture of dandelions in full bloom out in the field. very weird to see flowers bloomed out a few days before Christmas.

    Weather is totally nuts.

    Up here in Vermont, where last year we had snow up to our knees, tomorrow we will be painting the trim on a new house.... outside!

    Finally getting to head back out to the tree stand this am!! Conditions could be a little better but can't kill anything if I ain't out trying to!!! 20 mph wind out of the the north and 43 degrees!

    See 6 this morning but way outa range and checked some cards on the way out and looking like all my bucks are coming by a couple hours before first light and an hour after dark!

    my late season goes til January 9th. I have 2 weeks to get it done. hopefully I get to try out my new deer cart santa is dropping off tomorrow night.

    Anthony, can you move closer to the bedding area to increase your daylight movement? I know I am right in the bedding area and they still don't like daylight. I like feeding area setups when it is frigid cold. but when it is warmer I will get off the food and hit the bedding.

    I'm hoping the wind gets switched around to the WNW sooner than later tomorrow. The weekend weather forecast don't look very good unless you are a duck.

    Tried it today for a birthday hunt, my little brother calls me early and says his wife is going in to labor with his first son. What's weird is my boy and him share the same birthday, so now me and his son share the same one. Some things are more important than the kill. Goodluck to all still out there. Been a good birthday.
