Hunting an often overlooked section of this piece of woods. Been told a mini 2nd rut has been taking place. Just hoping to get lucky.

Is it windy there like it is here Anthony. Out of the SW about 16, gusts to 23 and 53 degrees.

No wind here about 40 degrees and clouds! Got screwed by the cloud cover though because it took an extra 15 mins to get enough light to shoot and I had one of my hit list bucks at my corn pile!!!

This sums up how my season is going so far this year! If it would have been clear this morning he's a dead deer but since it was cloudy it didn't light enough to shoot tell 20 minutes after its usually light enough to shoot! On a plus note I have a new buck showing up the last few weeks he just needs to make a mistake!

Buck that should have been shot this am but not enough light to shoot![IMG]

New buck that's been showing up the last few weeks! [IMG]

On stand for the evening here in beautiful Maryland! Gun season is still going strong, but I brought the bow with me tonight. Hoping just to shoot any deer tonight.

Good luck to all on stand tonight!

Getting ready to stop by the co-op grab some corn and head out for the evening! Probably won't see much since it's about 20-25 degrees above normal for this time of the year at 67 degrees!

It's warm with a really swirly wind, but I'm in the stand and looking for a doe. I'm sitting on the edge of a wheat field where I saw 15 or so does a couple evenings ago. All I need is for one of them to show up and I'll be happy with that.

I read somewhere that raccoons and possums are turkeys largest predator. They eat the eggs. I would take them out!
