got out last night and scouted the safety zone I usually hunt in late season. seen 6 does. this midday today after work I'm heading there to hang a stand and get bowhunting again. I will take the rifle just incase there is a bruiser out of range.

What an awesome morning, right at first light had a big body 4 point come sneaking in behind my stand went to draw back on him at 8 yards and he heard my coat moving looked up and bolted. Atleast I got another deer on film man was it close!!! Can't wait to get out thinking I'll go tonight

Couldnt get up to hunt this morning. Those of you that work the night shift might know how that works. Instead I got my recurve up and running. Going to finish out the season with it if I can get comfortable shooting accurately at about 12-15 yds. After practicing today I think I can do that in about 10 days or so.

Well after a long week at work I'm finally on my week off and heading back out to the tree stand with the orange army out but I'll be out with my bow instead of a gun! Hoping to get a buck down I only have 2 weeks of hunting left for myself to put a buck down or continue my 2 year streak of not shooting a buck!

I'm in Florida right now with my wife for our 40th anniversary. Hopefully when we get back home it will turn cold and the deer will be on the foodplots. If not I could go deerless this year. Good luck to everyone out today. Be safe.

    Blessings.........Pastorjim

Congrats PastorJim! 40 years is special. I am working on 27, my wife is a very patient woman! Ha ha! I am getting the same feeling about the cold, supposed to hit 70 this weekend? I have 2 good sized plots with a lot of turnips, the deer haven't really looked at them yet, too warm!
