Headed in to the stand. The nasty nine was still alive yesterday afternoon per the camera and nobody heard any shots today. Let's go see if I can put something down. Good luck anyone else who's going out.

Siting over a small food plot in the middle of cut over. New bucks have started showing up on camera about two weeks from the on this farm. Along with the new bucks a large group of hogs are coming to this plot as well and they are doing some damage to the field Hogs are top of the hit list.

Struck out but saw the nasty niner was under my other stand this morning at 9:00. This whole chess game with him is getting interesting but he has me whipped so far. Oh well, if the lady is good with it I will go try again in the morning.

Trying some public land with the boom stick today. This spot has been good to me in the past during shotgun season. Seen a bunch of deer on their feet on the drive here. Hopefully it will be a good morning and my buddy will get his first deer.

I'll be out this afternoon. Didn't go this morning. Weather "guesser" was calling for rain and windy so I stayed in bed. Wouldn't you know it. I get up with very minimal wind and no rain! I guess it is the way it is going to be. The family all has a cold so it was a good idea to get a little rest.
    Good luck everyone!!

I feel like its amateur hour, we are set up in some tall grass with a little hedge row between us and the woods, I'm on one end buddy is on the other, deer tracks all over this field, seen a doe working her way out on the other side of the hedge row, she needed about 10 more yards to clear it for a 50 yd shot, I got a little excited and moved too fast too soon and she caught me, she didn't blow, but took 2 hops back into the woods then just walked away...

I'm heading out in a little bit to try and fill my doe tag. My grandpa hasn't been getting out hunting as much the last few years and said he wanted something for the freezer. Today is the last day of deer season in my unit.

Apparently I should have gone out this morning though. My dad went to breakfast with my grandpa and on the way back he spotted a nice buck on our new lease up near one of our stands. He said it was bigger than the one I got in early October. Maybe he'll make a mistake tonight. If not, it's the last day so he will be a survivor for next year.

I'm set and ready. Now if the deer just come within range.
I'm confused though, calendar says December but it feels like October. It was 51 when I walked out of the basement. Wind is almost perfect. If I was choosing I'd take a little more north in it.
    Good luck!

Clouds haven't broke here in central mn. Little fog and 34 degrees. 0 wind.

My number 1 buck has made it through 2 weeks of rifle and close to 2 weeks of muzzleloader seasons.

If a doe gives me a shot I'm taking it (only allowed one deer in central MN). Getting down to the wire.

Just saw a doe. That is the first doe I've seen in over 2 months on our place while hunting.
