our orange army heads to the woods tomorrow. ugh! I will be heading out. not sure how long I will last among the stupidity. last year I lasted 15 minutes. I think I have a decent spot tucked back in the middle of a 200 acre clearcut. I had to use a machete to get in there. I think if I was a great shot I could literally shoot a 1000 yds, but I suck with a rifle. my favorite part of the orange army is when you see a guy sneaking through the woods with his big plastic hot seat dangling from his belt catching and scraping on everything in sight. and he actually thinks he is being quiet!

Awaiting sunrise from the cow pasture stand. Rained for 2 straight days, and it was like walking through a crock pot to get here. I hung the tarsals from my gun buck about 20 yards in front of me. Let's stink this place up!

Just had a yellow retriever chase a nice 6 underneath me, the deer turned around to fight that dog and the dog saw me and started barking at me and the deer took off like he saw the boogeyman. I really loathe when people don't keep their dogs put up. If I was a mean person there would have been a different outcome. Grrrrr

The rain and the dogs win, I'm headed to some coffee and a sausage biscuit.
