Yea those are real fun when you are trimming one to use a climber in because it is the perfect tree, never fails alway catch one in a knuckle and my hand swells for a week....damn devil trees....
our locust trees in PA don't have those wicked things. just little thorns about 1/2" long on the tips of the branches. not being around those western locust a lot when I go out to Kansas hunting I seem to get a blood test from those suckers. or those gosh dang osage oranges bombing down. never got hit by one of those but I can imagine the feeling. ouch!!!!! I brought one of those thorns home to show people and they think it's fake. little do they know!! lol
Only second time I've hunted this stand. Wind has to be SE or SSE. I felt like a bull in a China cabinet getting in here this morning.
Hunted last week and another hunter was having lots of issues getting settled in then this guy walked to within 20 yards of him: Great 8 going on his wall. Good luck out there, wish I was in the stand.
The moon was so bright here last night, I'm sure there were out all night. I saw a small group of does fly across the field here about 1/2 an hour ago but I think something jumped them up.
I think the 11-2 time slot will be good movement....to bad I'm at work As for the rest of you that are hunting.....KILL!
