My lone hope is they get hungry and tired. Every time it gets quiet I think, great, vthey're taking a short nap. I'm here and might as well make the best of it. Just disheartening when it's dead calm for 35 minutes and then the bellows ring out 50yds away.
Half tempted to shoot the rabbit, seen it 3 times now. 4 1/2 hours they have been running this end of the property now. Needless to say, won't be coming back out here this year. Firearm tag is now worthless, try some late season public land I guess
Only saw that one doe. Nov 20th is late to see bucks still cruising around here. Not sure if I'm wasting my time sitting all day.
I'd never be able to catch them. They're skittish around strangers. Bad part is I think this goes on every single day. I had no clue before season it was like this. Went from a honey hole to a hell hole so to speak. Add in the 5 shoulder shot never found deer and I see why my season has been what it is. Usually see in one sit what i've seen all year. Hunter that shot earlier is still behind me, heard him cough and then blow his nose Dogs have been quiet for about 20 munutes, probably napping
Little doe, think I'll pass and if nothing else might head in about 1030 to warm up and grab a bite then come back out
OMG! Hope I don't jinx it, but swear I just heard both dogs up at the house. Hoping they went up for food and aunt or cousin locked them up.
Thanks guys, I'm not much of a gun Hunter, but it was a blast. Had action all morning. Then I saw this guy following a doe in a field and he was fired up. I was pinned down with a doe that had me busted and couldn't move. He was Grunting, rubbing trees, and he chased off a spike. The doe brought him right to me. I raised the gun and the PITA doe started blowing. It was too late, drilled him at 15 yards
