Unless they are running the deer you should be fine. Once the dogs clear out the deer will come back.
They don't leave is the problem. Only saving grace right now is they have only bellowed out once in the last hour. I don't know if they run deer or not, have only witnessed rabbits so far. Currently up in the bedding area, make that 3 bellows in past hour
If they were running the deer you would know. They would take a track to the next county. Maybe they will run deer out to you from the bedding area.
Deer just blew from bedding area. No clue if me or the dogs. Not sure where they are. Quiet is so peaceful, but the dogs are negating no wind
I can tell you're happier already. Oops, I didn't see the dogs until I looked closer. I haven't read any further posts yet, kinda scared to.
A little hope I guess, had a shot go off 125yds behind me. Scared the bejeezus out of me. Seen 3 doe bolt across the field way behind me.
It's all good, think you jinxed me though. Unpacked my gear getting dressed, not only did I not have my wool socks but somehow ended up with 3 left gloves.
Nope. I can jinx anything. Currently chasing something since about 5 minutes after posting that. Kinda stuck in the tree a few hours, not sure who else is here or where they are. Dogs currently on neighbors property deep in there. Sounds like it would be a good day for rabbit hunting though
We had a 160" 12 running around our property this year... Every shot one of our neighbors took I was convinced they were shooting the 12pt. No word that anyone has gotten one so we think he's still running around.
That's exactly how I'm feeling right now. Usually a volley of shots kinda don't feel as bad, them single shots is what gets ya worried.
